Return Policy

Shipping, Returns, and Core Returns

Freight:

We go to great lengths to optimize shipping methods in an effort to keep shipping costs reasonable. Most orders over $50 include free shipping in the US. Orders under 1lb (caliper rebuild kits, etc) typically ship via USPS first class mail, which is not the fastest, but it is the most economical. Larger items (calipers, brake kits, etc) ship via UPS ground. If you need expedited shipping, please contact us and we will look at all options and make every effort to accommodate your needs. You will be charged actual additional cost.

International Orders:

International shipping is sometimes a challenge to keep costs under control. We offer several options including FedEx, USPS, and UPS. If you need to place an order shipping outside of the US, please contact us first…for two reasons. 1, to ensure that the parts you’re ordering are the parts you need and avoid any need for a return and 2, to discuss the best shipping methods for your order. Internationals orders placed though the website will be cancelled and refunded without prior contact.

ABSOLUTELY NO INTERNATIONAL RETURNS:

Automotive Brake Solutions is located in the USA and has access to cataloging data for US market vehicles only. While much of this data overlaps with non-US market vehicles, it is the responsibility of the customer to verify fitment. We are not responsible for cataloging errors for non-US market applications. We will make every effort to assist you pre-purchase in finding the correct parts.

Core Returns:

Core return instruction will be enclosed with your order and can also be found on your invoice. The customer is responsible for core return shipping charges. Unless you have a UPS account, we have found the most economical manner in which to return cores is through USPS priority mail. Most caliper pairs will fit nicely in a USPS medium flat rate box and ship for under $20 (as of 1/1/2023). Please use lots of packing material and lots of tape, as the USPS tends to be a bit rough on things. Core credit will be issued within 10 days of receipt of your cores after we are able to inspect them.
Full core credit will be issued if the cores are complete, free of excessive corrosion, and not damaged beyond repair.

Factors that may result in partial or no core refund:

  • Excessive corrosion
  • Broken bleeder screws / damaged threads
  • Missing parts
  • Permanently rusted in place pins/hardware that cannot be removed with machine work or damage to the caliper

New Product Returns:

Automotive Brake Solutions wants you to be completely satisfied with your purchase from us. We have a return policy which is fair and easy. If you wish to return an item, we will do our best to make your experience a pleasant one. You may contact us by phone (1-562-512-4966) or email (support@autobrakesolutions.com) and we will gladly assist you with obtaining an exchange, credit or refund.  Please provide us with your name, order number (if possible), and the part number(s) you wish to return.  We will provide you with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and instructions for shipping the parts back to us.

Return policy:

If the return is due to an error on the part of Automotive Brake Solutions, we will gladly offer a full refund, exchange or credit, as well assume return shipping costs.
If the return is due to an error outside of our control (customer ordered wrong part, customer changed mind, etc), returns are subject to a restocking fee of up to 20% at our discretion to help cover our costs (free shipping not free, repackaging, etc) and the customer is responsible for all return shipping costs.
Returns are only allowed with prior authorization and an RMA number. Any product shortages must be reported within 7 days of receipt and original cartons saved.  Merchandise must be returned within 14 days of return authorization. We encourage customers to use an insurable and trackable shipping method, such as UPS or FedEx, and email us the tracking number, if possible. That will help us process your return more quickly.
Returns are not allowed on products that are outdated, damaged, or otherwise not sellable as new.  No returns are allowed on parts, once they have been installed or used.   No returns on parts labeled as SPECIAL ORDER.
Returned merchandise purchased using credit card or PayPal will be credited to your original method of payment, after inspection and approval. Please allow up to 20 days after receipt of your return for this approval process to be completed.  Items purchased via cash, check, or wire transfer will be refunded in the form of a check, mailed within 10 business days after the return has been approved. Shipping fees are not refundable.
